The original Shishito! Wide and roughly two inches in length, green Padrón Peppers are similar in appearance to Shishitos. Their flavor is mild, savory and peppery, and occasionally very hot. About one of 20 peppers is spicy and they do gain more heat with maturity and size (those over 2″ long can pack a punch). Perfect for sauteing and frying, blister these peppers in a hot pan with garlic and a dash of sea salt and enjoy.
