Cortland apples are medium to large in size, and often rather flat in shape. They are bright red, covered with dark red streaks, and often capped with a green blush. Their crisp, finely-grained white flesh is exceptionally juicy with a sharp, sweet-tart, vinous flavor.
These apples are excellent for fresh eating and in salads, as their white flesh is slow to brown, and also good for cooking into desserts or savory dishes.
Our apples are from either Briermere Farms in Riverhead or the Milk Pail in Water Mill.
